Yup, that’s right. The first night of this epic journey finds us at a Holiday Inn in Dallas, TX. Kinda anti-climactic isn’t it? Oh well, it means we’re finally off and it’ll make for a pretty funny story later. Next step is the flight to Tokyo, a quick little 13.5 hour jaunt over the Pacific Ocean. My sister is with me for this flight (she’s along for the first two weeks in Japan) so I’ve got someone to play cards with and I promised to teach her some basic Japanese before we land.
Sorry for the lack of pictures with this short little update, the next one will be from Tokyo and there will be pictures, I promise.
See you in Japan!
Alright, first post on a shiny new blog. Good time for a little intro, don’t you think?
I’m Ray, a 20-year old photographer from Colorado. I love to shoot everything from fashion to architecture to wildlife and will be attending school in the fall to pursue a degree in fashion photography. In addition to my photography I am a writer and an avid traveler.
This blog will be focused on combining my love for photography and my love for travel. I am spending three months abroad and will be blogging about my experience and the photos I take while I travel through Japan, Thailand, and South Africa. My goal is to post every couple of days and to include a new photo with every post. I will also be adding and updating galleries for each of the countries I visit so check those out every once and a while to see more of what I’ve been doing.
This grand journey starts on December 28th, 2009 and I invite you all to join me and see the world through the lens of my camera.
